Quite simply, this is a tranquil oasis tucked around the corner from the hustle and bustle of the souk. As you walk in, the noises and smells of Central Marrakech fade away and the calm and quiet of the Riad take over. The decor is charming and the central pool is a sight to behold. We were welcomed by the incredibly helpful Nordine, who could not have done more to welcome us and answer our questions. The terrace is a lovely spot to relax in the fading sun and the poolside area couldn't be more relaxing. If the extreme heat isn't your thing, there are cosy corners to relax with a nice pile of cushions. Dinner the first evening was amazing. We quickly found out that the food is unrivalled in Marrakech. Choose the 15 or 20 Euro dinner option, at least the first night and you will probably want it again. We had a long day in the desert and loved coming back to the calm of the poolside area, watching the palm trees flutter in the breeze and enjoy the fabulous hospitality of Emmanuelle and Abdu. A special mention to Abdu, who alongside Nordine, went out of his way to ensure we were welcomed with a huge smile and lovely conversation. A large part of what makes this place is the amazing tranquility of this oasis combined with the amazing kindness. I celebrated my birthday here, and chocolate cake suddenly appeared for breakfast. An incredibly thoughtful gesture - thank you! Aside from the above, the wifi was strong and reliable, rooms absolutely spotless, linen very clean, beds lovely and firm (we love firm mattresses), breakfast excellent (lovely little donuts and incredible jams alongside the usual coffee, juice, fruit and yoghurt) and the simple yet thoughtful decision to supply a large bottle of water per room per day. This Riad has got all the little things right and it adds up to being a wonderful, relaxing and memorable stay. You won't regret staying here, we certainly don't. Thank you to everyone at Riad Chergui! We will definitely be back!

The Riad Chergui is beautifully laid out and feels like a small oasis in the chaos and hubbub that is the medina in Marrakesh. The central courtyard and breakfast areas are cool and comfortable, the (icy cold!) pool area is lovely and the rooms are small for two but all you really need. The rooftop area is well laid out and a comfortable spot to enjoy views over the city. The breakfast is spectacularly good and the service from Abdul is second to none. He is super friendly, polite, well mannered, urbane and educated, speaking English, French, Arabic and 3 local dialects of his home country, Senegal. The rest of the staff are super helpful and friendly. My son got very sick on our trip and Adbul and his team rallied round to help him recover quickly. They are a great team. The Riad is easy to get to from the airport by taxi and a short walk away from the souk and main square in Marrakesh. When we settled up the bill, the owner allowed us to use up our remaining dirhams to part pay which was useful.

Beautiful and tranquil - an absolute oasis just a short walk from the souks. The pool was essential in 35 degree temperatures. The breakfast was really great value and filled us all up. We had one evening meal too which was very tasty. The rooms were super, clean and comfortable - having a fragment orange tree outside your bedroom door is so different and fragrant! Lovely staff - multilingual and helpful. Perfect base for a family with teenage children.

Charming Riad very close to all the most interesting tourist sights. Owners and staff were very welcoming and excellent at communicating and responding to our requests. They set-up airport transportation for us (at an extra cost) and even accommodated two gluten-free travelers in our group. The whole Riad was lovely, and we especially enjoyed the pool, delicious breakfast, and bar, given that most restaurants do not serve alcohol.

We had been in Morocco for 3 weeks and stayed at beautiful Riads but Chergui was the best. It has outside space inside the Riad. The owner Emmanual was the best host! Her staff were so pleasant. I had a manicure on property and the food and wine was excellent. We will return. Stay here...you wont be disappointed.
